Why are we so hyperarticulate about our adversaries and so excruciatingly tongue-tied about our loves?” This is how Rita Felski concludes her “Introduction” to The Limits of Critique (2015). This blog, which I started writing on Christmas 2013 and publishing exactly a year later, represents an attempt to listen rigorously and think critically with one of my “loves,” a great musician friend. It’s “the end of December” again, then, time for another deeply affective post to Pantelis Polychronidis, my heteros eautos, with a melancholic waltz that refuses to go away – “I’m writing you now just to see if you’re better”…
